Flor De Epifania
Flor de Epifania is a community-based flower growing project that is centered in the church. We are small-scale, local to northeast L.A. and the San Gabriel Valley, and rely entirely on part-time volunteer gardeners.
Currently we have two growing sites: at Church of the Epiphany’s community garden in Lincoln Heights, and at Community of Divine Love at Church of Our Savior in San Gabriel. We also partner with Seeds of Hope at St. Paul’s Cathedral Center in Echo Park, where many flowers are grown in Edendale Grove.
Most of our proceeds go to Church of the Epiphany and Immigrants with Disabilities.
We focus on unusual flower varieties that you mostly won’t find at the store or even the downtown Los Angeles Flower Market. We use no chemicals and concentrate instead on building soil health with compost biology.
Our flowers are seasonal and not available year-round. They are best bought to mark special occasions, or in short bursts or subscriptions (e.g., for 3-6 weeks as blooms last). Please add your name to the contact form below if you would like to receive emails about flower availability.
We welcome new volunteers! Please contact Delia Hitz at for more information.
